IAR Systems announces an updated version of its development tools IAR Embedded Workbench for Atmel 8-bit AVR microcontrollers. Included in the new version added new features, new device support which make it possible for developers to gain better performance in low-power AVR-based applications.

New artwork, enhancements to window management and docking, revised Information Center, and new tutorials.

Power debugging measurements obtained from the Atmel Power Debugger can now be visualized in the C-SPY debugger.
